Highclere specialises in putting together small groups of individuals to share in a number of top quality racehorses. This enables the shareowner to enjoy racing at the highest level, without the very high costs normally associated with owning racehorses. Perhaps even more crucially, it gives our shareowners a significantly greater chance of success. Indeed, since it's creation in 1992, some twenty seven per cent of Highclere's runners have won or been placed in Group or Listed company, making Highclere the most successful multiple ownership company in the U.K.

A large part of our success has been due to the selection process employed for purchasing yearlings. Since 1992 John Warren has purchased all of Highclere's bloodstock. John is one of the leading agents in the world, and in the last five years alone has produced no fewer than four European champions in Lake Coniston, Tamarisk, Delilah, and Petrushka who crowned this success by becoming the first ever syndicate Classic winner by winning the 2000 Kildangan Stud Irish Oaks. 

In 2002, HTR reached another milestone when Highest finished second in the St Leger, the only Classic in which a Highclere horse had not been placed.
